Layoffs and cash shortages remain unknown in the largest Italian firm, Mafia Inc. According to the 12th Sos report from Confesercenti, the italian federation of small business owners, organized crime in the Peninsula has a market share of 135 billion euros. This is consistent with what Roberto Saviano has often explained. Organized italian crime is developing a corporate and multisector approach ranging from agrifood, B2B services, public contracts as well as real estate and finance.
Figures are still fierce. The country counts 1300 crimes per day, about 50 every hour… nearly one a minute.
